Coco Mamba is a singer, song writer, filmmaker and activist based in Brooklyn, NY. She was originally born in Frankfurt, Germany to an active military family. Despite the fact that her family moved to different parts of the United States throughout her childhood, she considers Virginia to be her home state. In 2013 Coco started a career in documentary filmmaking with a DIY web series titled Hour by Hour. She continued working in film after she graduated from Parsons the New School for Design in 2014 with a BBA in Strategic Design and Management, and later studied for a Masters Certificate in Media Management to explore the intersection of music and strategy. Coco continues to do work in film, but is now also expressing her thoughts and emotions through a musical medium. Her ultimate goal is to combine her love for visual storytelling with her desire to create songs that cover controversial topics such as cat calling, racism, patriarchy in America, and more.
